How does this site work?
This website sells membership kits that will provide you with various specified
items and entitles you to a newsletter that will be included with your
kit. The included newsletter is generated by our staff and updates you
on our opinions of the current electronic industry. We are currently working
on allowing members to view all the newsletters online via your customer
summary link. The membership kit will be mailed to your home. When you
purchase a membership kit from our site you will be entitled to discounts
at Karen's Treasures, an online merchandise store. You will also be entered
into a free giveaway product list specific to the membership that you purchased.
This entry entitles your name to be added to a list that based upon the
number of entries will determine when you will receive the item being promoted.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO PURCHASE A MEMBERSHIP! Please allow
at least three weeks for your kit to arrive after you make your CD selection.
At times, this wait could be longer, but you will receive it as soon as
possible. You are not buying the free product and this is not a chance
or lottery. Your name remains on the list until you either receive the
product or the list is ended and you are granted Site Credits to enter
onto a new list of your choice, or any of means of ending the list you
are on is executed. Absolutely no guarantees are being made for a specific
product to be awarded to a member. The giveaways are free and only offered
for the duration of MoveMeUp's existence of operation. MoveMeUp reserves
the right to end its giveaway promotion at any time. We reserve the right
to lower the value of an item if the normal retail value is lowered at
a retail level to consumers. We may from time to time lower the amount
of members it takes to cycle on a free gift. This would be to your advantage.
No other guarantee is expressed or implied. As a member of MoveMeUp, you
will receive various benefits from time to time when we are able to offer
them.
How long does it take to receive my free item?
You will receive your free item when your name reaches the top of the product
giveaway list. Each list has what is called a "cycle" time. When
the number of required entries takes place, a cycle has been completed.
Then, the person on the top of the product list receives a free gift and
their name is removed from the list. This program involves waiting times.
Obviously, the closer you are to the top, the sooner you will receive a
gift. This is our way of saying thanks for being a member of our site.
The wait could be months or more. There is no way to determine when the
purchase of membership kits will occur which is what moves the lists into
cycle positions. You may help promote the site by telling friends and family,
but the good thing is you don't have to do anything if you don't want to.
This is not where you must enlist people or do any form of recruiting.
You will move up the list as sales continue. Most people get very excited
and can't wait to tell others. This is not a MLM company. Basically, you
make a purchase, receive it, and free items are awarded when possible.
We try to ship out free items approximately 14 days after you cycle, but
there are times when this is not possible. It may take longer due to circumstances
out of our control, but you will receive your free item if you cycle.
Is there a guarantee that I will receive my item?
The only guarantee made that you will receive your free item is if you
cycle all the way through to the top of the list. You understand that once
you purchase your membership kit, you have 5 days to request a refund.
After this point you will not be allowed a refund. If for any reason your
membership kit arrives and your CD software is damaged, we reserve the
right to replace it. You must notify us within 24 hours after receiving
the damaged item in order to receive a replacement. You agree that you
are purchasing the membership kit and not the free gift. Do not consider
your purchase of a membership kit as an "investment" for the
giveaway product. This is not how the membership kits are being sold. MoveMeUp
is not being promoted as an investment site. We also reserve the right
to replace your CD choice with another if your choice has been discontinued.
We do everything we can to ensure that you receive the CD of your choice.
Do I have to pay for the shipping on the membership kit or free gift?
No, not as long as you live in the US. or Canada. If any member living
outside the US or Canada wishes to purchase a kit, they will have to be
responsible for the shipping of the kit. The kit MUST be shipped as this
completes the transaction. We apologize for any inconvenience this may
cause but previously, we did everything digital. This had to change with
absolute mailing of tangible items. The free product is shipped at no cost
to members living in the US and Canada. Members outside the US and Canada
are encouraged to take the cash equivalent of the giveaway item. If not,
they will be charged for shipping of the item as it is too expensive to
ship for us outside the US and Canada. We will NOT pay for duty and brokerage
fees for any items. An example of duty and brokerage for the HPI Savage
was 99.06 (US Dollars) for one delivery to Canada. The item is worth 450.00
and the duty and brokerage is based on the insured value of the item. This
is why we suggest to take the cash value.
I'm confused as to how this works, can you give me an example?
Let's say you purchased the membership kit with the free entry to the RC
Savage Truck. You would place your order and soon the appropriate kit will
arrive at your door. In the meantime, as soon as we process your order,
your name is placed on the bottom of the giveaway product list. You may
then watch your progress as your name moves up the list over a period of
time. This may take a while. Do not purchase a membership kit expecting
to receive a giveaway item right away. These take time, sometimes months
or more. They are completely dependent upon the number of interested individuals
that purchase the same kit. You will only receive a free gift if you make
it to the top and "cycle out". Remember, your purchase is your
membership kit, not the free gift. You will be entitled to discounts at
Karen's Treasures based upon the group that you are in. This is based upon
the amount of money spent on our site.
Can I track my progress for the giveaway product?
Yes, you may click on "view list" at anytime and check on your
status. There will be times when we are updating or other reasons beyond
our control that the list will be temporarily unavailable. This should
be for very short periods if at all. The "view list" link is
located in your customer summary.
The list isn't moving fast enough for me, can I get a refund?
You purchased a membership kit and received it at your house. We
will be sending out all kits with delivery confirmation requests. Your purchase
has nothing to do with how fast a giveaway list is moving. You may receive a
refund only if you request it within 5 days from the date that your
purchase has been made. We will ship all kits with delivery
confirmation so we can guarantee it does arrive to you. If there is any reason you have not received your membership kit within
a reasonable time, please let us know and we will check into it. Invalid
requests for refunds such as you just don't like where you are on the list,
etc. will ban you from ordering with us and all current orders in our system
will be cancelled with no refunds. Please do not email us expressing your
opinion on the movement of a list. If you have received your membership
kit and then request a refund from your credit card company just because
you don't think your name is moving fast enough, this is fraud and will
be treated as such. You are purchasing a membership kit and this is what
you will be guaranteed.
Do I have to report any of my free gifts on my taxes?
We are not tax advisors and if you feel that you are obligated to
do so, then that is up to you to report what is necessary. We do not know how a
gift affects your tax status. Please consult you tax advisor on this matter.
What is your refund policy?
We will allow a refund if the request is made by the 5th day after your
purchase has been made. After this time has passed, a refund will not be
considered. If for any reason there is a problem with your membership kit,
we reserve the right to resend it to you. Things do happen in shipment
and we will correct any damaged software but the request must be made within
24 hours after receiving it. We will use the delivery confirmation receipt
date for this time period of replacement. A missing membership kit or damaged
membership kit does not qualify for a refund. Refunds will only be granted
within the 5 day period after the purchase has been made. Five days gives
you plenty of time to have a change of mind. Refunds are not granted according
to how fast your name is moving on a list for a free product. You know
in advance when you purchase your membership kit that it takes time to
receive a free item and time is part of the process. Once your name is
placed on a list it is being counted for other members to cycle and it
is not fair to remove your name and cause a list to go in reverse. Make
sure you wish to make your purchase when you do because after five days
have passed, you may not request a refund after that. Again, you are reminded
that you are NOT purchasing the free gift. You are not being misled in
any way to believe that you have purchased the free gift.
Are the items you send as free giveaways new items?
Yes, everything we send out will be brand new unless we have otherwise
specified. It is most likely that anything purchased from Karen's Treasures
will be drop-shipped to you from the distributor's warehouse so that it
is only shipped once.
May I receive a cash equivalent of the giveaway item?
Yes, you may. When you are "cycled out" you will receive an email
offering you the options that are available to you. We may ask for your
birthdate to prove your age as you are not allowed to participate if you
are under 18 years of age. There may arise a time when we reserve the right
to discontinue the option of cash equivalents if we feel it is necessary.
You may also be requested to provide proof of your age such as faxing us
proof which could include a picture ID containing your birthdate, ie: driver's
license. We are within our rights to request such information if you are
attempting to do business with us and you are under 18 years of age. Your
purchase is considered a contract with us and minors cannot enter into
a bonifide contract.
Will you ever have special promotions that would possibly shorten a list that
may have gotten too long, thus creating a very long wait?
We have lots of ideas to help shorten lists. It is to our discretion on when to
do this. We may offer you other choices from time to time that will help shorten
a list. If we ever end a list, you will be given choices by us that would be of
equal or greater value of what was originally offered to you. We may also choose
to auto-cycle out a list if we feel the need to end it. Most likely you will
receive SITE CREDITS. Please refer to the link "SITE CREDITS" for a better
explanation.
What does auto-cycling mean and how does it work?
Auto-cycling is where we designate a certain amount of profits determined
by us according to our present needs and situations and allot it to a special
fund which would help alleviate a slow moving list or a list that we choose
to end. An ended list would take precedence over a slow-moving list. We
would possibly offer something such as auto-cycle out one entry per week
or month until the list is empty or many other types of ways that this
could be accomplished. This is just a possible suggestion. Of course it
is easier to auto-cycle a small item versus a larger item. A decision would
be made based upon the information of what is being ended. This is just
an added extra that we may use when we feel it is necessary and will help
our members at the same time. Currently, our auto--cycle list is applied
to the oldest auto-cycle number on the auto-cycle list. It will continue
to be applied until the auto-cycle number has been cycled out. We reserve
the right to change this policy at any time.
What is your privacy policy?
We keep all of your information provided to us strictly confidential. We
will not sell, give, or share your information with any others. All information
goes to our files and stays there. We will only share information with
law enforcement agencies when deemed necessary as required by law.
May I promote your website on Ebay or other ways?
I do not want you to auction off my link on Ebay and mislead people into
thinking they are buying a promotional giveaway item. This has happened
in the recent past and I have been caught in the middle of heated issues
where my link is sold and they are passed right into my sight and are under
the belief they are buying this great item at the low membership price.
I do not have the time to field all these emails and issues associated
with this. My link has been sold for over a hundred dollars recently on
Ebay. The buyers then come to my website and are angry because they already
paid a fee to the seller and then realize it wasn't what they thought.
I hope you can understand this is not a position that I care to be in and
I don't think you would either. Promoting the site is wonderful and is
one way we will be able to move the lists for you, but it must be done
in a reputable way. We want MoveMeUp to retain its reputation while at
the same time enable you to be able to enjoy free gifts without having
to go through this type of confusion and frustration. Wrongful promotion
hurts everyone.
How do you handle spamming?
If I find you are spamming people and it is associated with my website, you will
be banned from being a member of this site. You will not be entitled to any
refunds. Spamming will not be tolerated, period. You can promote the site quite
easily without needing to spam. I realize this is an exciting website that can
allow you to get items that you would never be able to at such a low price of a
membership kit, but let's just do it in the correct manner!
