What is a membership kit?
A membership kit is a tangible item that will be mailed to your home. Each
kit will be dependent upon the selections that you make. They will include
a newsletter that will tell what we see as the newest, hottest electronics
out at the present or just a commentary on our opinions. It will also include
CD software that you will select from a list provided. This ensures that
you will not have to receive the same software every time you purchase
a kit. There are different categories based upon the selection that you
make. It may also contain promotional items such as pens, t-shirts, and
the higher bracket kits will include a hand-crafted item that will be unique
within itself. The hand-crafted item may vary. A membership kit will also
allow you to have your name placed on a free product giveaway list. Remember, you are purchasing a membership kit, not the free giveaway item.
I made a purchase, so now what do I do?
You now wait until we are notified by the payment processor that you have
placed an order. Then we will process your order and send out your membership
kit. Please allow approximately three weeks for your kit to arrive. Due
to the fact that we purchase software on a wholesale basis, it is necessary
sometimes to experience a wait time before the next order is placed. There
are minimum orders that must be placed with our supplier. After we process
your order you will see your name placed at the bottom of the product giveaway
list. It is not going to be instantaneous. We will update as we are able
to.
My membership kit hasn't arrived yet, ... why?
You must make a CD selection in order for us to send out your membership kit.
The longer you take to make your selection, the longer it will take to arrive.
The link to make your selection will be in your Welcome Email. If you no longer
have your Welcome Email, email us and let us know so that we can resend it to
you. It normally takes approximately 3 weeks. This may be longer if we are
waiting for an order to arrive or if you did not make your CD selection, thus
delaying your order's arrival to your home.
I don't see my name, I am worried, what do I do?
First of all, give us the chance to process your order. There are humans doing
this, not a computer. We are on EST and we also have jobs and appointments to
keep. The payment processor company will send you a receipt. If you do not see
your name on a product list within a reasonable time, please email us and bring
this to our attention.
Hurry, I don't want anyone to get ahead of me on the list!
First, we add your name by order numbers and use time/date stamps.
Just because your name is not viewable immediately, don't worry. Nobody can "get
ahead" of you. Your order is manually entered into our database and there isn't
always somebody sitting here at the console, please exercise patience.
How can I be sure I am going to get a free product?
The only guarantee that you will receive your giveaway product is if you
make it to the top of the list and "cycle out". This means that
the appropriate number of membership kits were purchased, thus allowing
MOVEMEUP to make a profit, which in turn allows you to cycle you out and
receive a free gift. This may take months or more to happen. Do not make
the purchase of a membership kit as an investment. It will only make you
anxious and defeat the purpose of receiving a free gift. This site is meant
to allow you to be able to receive free gifts over a period of time at
a mere fraction of what the free gift would have cost you if you were to
go out and purchase it yourself. If you cannot afford to wait, please do
not purchase a membership kit. This is just an added bonus to being a member
our of website. We are selling MEMBERSHIPS!
What do you do when a list gets too long?
There are several things that can be done. We can use the auto-cycle feature.
We can end a list and auto-cycle it out as necessary or we may offer from
time to time other alternatives to you. It is probable that when a list
is ended, you will be granted SITE CREDITS. Site credits do not have a
monetary value. They just enable you to select a different free gift list.
You received a membership kit or ebooks when you made your original purchase.
You will not receive a second membership kit just for moving to a new list.
It is impossible to end lists too quickly. We take a loss every time a
list is ended and must do this slowly. MOVEMEUP must remain profitable
or you will not benefit with a free gift as they are based on the company
receiving enough profits to send out free gifts.
I cycled, now what do I do?
So, you made it to the top, congratulations. You will receive a "You
Have Cycled" email shortly and in it will tell you that you have cycled
and offer you some options. There is approximately a 14 day lag time from
the time you have cycled to the time you will receive your item or cash.
This is the time we need to collect the money from the payment processor
and be able to get your item to you. Please be patient. Occasionally, unforeseen
things do come up which may delay a payment. You will receive your gift
as soon as it is possible. Remember, it is a free item based on our profits, so please exercise patience.
Please be aware that MMU was victimized by a fraudulent member who was
committing identity theft of many people, mostly from his fraudulent eBay
sales. He "went shopping" on our website proposing to be many
different people using other people's credit card info. This has caused
us over 34 chargebacks from our processor which in turn has slowed down
our sending out of cycled gifts due to large financial responsibilities
that we have incurred from this fraudulent member. If you are on the "cycled
list" and are awaiting a free gift, no matter how long it takes us,
we will send out your gift. Our first responsibility is to our processor.
This may take us some time to get things back to normal, but please be
patient while we work our way through this huge mess. We are good, honest
and respectable owners and in time everything will be back on track. MMU
has always had a good reputation and we will strive to keep it that way.
It is unfortunate that one fraudulent person can cause so much harm in
such a way to disrupt the whole process.
What is your privacy policy?
We will not sell, give, or share any of your information as we consider
all information to be private. I don't like spam and I'm sure you don't
either. Your information is extremely important to us. From time to time
we may send you an announcement, but it would be from us, not anyone else.
If we were to be contacted by a law enforcement agency, we will share whatever
we are required to do so by law.
My position on the list changed, why did this happen?
It is possible that a data entry error could have been made and
the correction moved you to a different position. Also, we have had to contend
with orders that were "lost" by our payment processor. Please do not email to
ask me why this happened unless there is an obvious mistake. You cannot request
a refund because your position changed. Things do occur and we will do whatever
is necessary to make corrections.
How can you afford to sell items at these prices?
First of all, the free items are not for sale. You are purchasing a membership
kit. The items are free giveaway products. When a predetermined amount
of kits have been sold, the person at the top of the product list receives
the product. Your purchase is for the kit that will arrive at the address
you provided to us. The only items for sale are on Karen's Treasures which
is a direct sale, no waiting for a cycle time.
Am I responsible for duty and brokerage fees?
Yes, you are responsible for all fees related to duty taxes and brokerage
fees. We pay for shipping of the item. The rest is your responsibility.
This is why we suggest to take the cash equivalent. An example of such
fees was 99.06 (USED) for the HPI Savage that was shipped to Canada. The
duty tax was 60.58 (USD) and the brokerage fees were 38.48 (USD) based
on the insured value of the truck being 450.00. In Canadian dollars it
came to 147.65. That does not include the amount that we paid to have it
shipped. This is just what the receiver had to pay to claim their shipment.
What is your refund policy?
You may ask for a refund as long as you ask within our five day policy. Refunds are granted minus the fees incurred with your payment as long as you ask within the allowed time limit of five days. This is sufficient time to decide if you wished to make the purchase or not. Please refer to the Policies webpage for more information. Do not email us and request any refunds after your five day option has expired. Once you make your purchase and decide to remain with our website, refunds will not be an option.
